July 6, 2016  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

Did you know that summer is the time of year that kids tend to gain the most weight? While children are supposed to grow all year, sometimes they gain too much weight while they are out of school. This increased weight gain is often brought on by what is known as the “summer slump.”

Learn about how to beat the summer slump by checking out the July Healthy Eating Tip of the Month bulletin board in the UH cafeteria. You will learn what leads to the summer slump as well as tips on how you can keep your child happy and healthy all summer long.

Enter a drawing to win a coloring book and box of crayons that will provide your child with hours of fun this summer. The drawing is located at the bulletin board in the UH cafeteria. To learn more, check out the Healthy Eating Tip of the Month website.
