Attend upcoming Surgical Tech Virtual Job Fair!
Michigan Medicine is reaching out to anyone interested in taking the next step toward a new and rewarding career as a surgical technologist.
Next week, the organization is hosting a Surgical Tech Virtual Job Fair, which will take place online from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 19.
During this unique event, individuals can login and chat one-on-one with a member of the organization’s talent team, who will answer any questions about a surg tech career at Michigan Medicine.
Representatives from University Hospital, C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, the Frankel Cardiovascular Center, the Kellogg Eye Center and the East Ann Arbor Surgery Center will all have “virtual booths” and be available during the job fair.
“We are very excited to be able to provide both greater accessibility and alternative options for candidates to learn about what we have to offer at Michigan Medicine,” said Shawn Murphy, corporate director, perioperative services. “Our surgical technologists support many highly specialized and advanced surgical procedures in all surgical services. These are opportunities they might not experience or be exposed to in other health care settings. Michigan Medicine is recognized as a top tier academic medical center. We are confident that our organization will continue to be seen as a world-class career destination.”
Some departments will even offer a sign-on bonus in addition to the robust benefits packages already offered at Michigan Medicine.
“It’s a top priority of the newly-formed Michigan Medicine Talent Team to create an inclusive hiring process that allows candidates to pursue career opportunities here,” said Steve Cubis, lead talent acquisition specialist in Human Resources. “Virtual job fairs are a great way to engage and attract a diverse candidate pool that doesn’t just focus on candidates local to the Ann Arbor area.”
