Warm up your workout routine: Fitness options available to faculty, staff

The weather has FINALLY warmed up — making it the perfect time to warm up your workout routine!

For faculty and staff at Michigan Medicine, there are plenty of opportunities to make sure you’re staying on top of your health and fitness goals.

Here are a few “cool” ways you can keep up with your exercise habits, especially as winter is put in the rear-view mirror:

  • Participate in MHealthy Rewards: Register by June 30 for MHealthy’s annual rewards program! Any benefits-eligible faculty or staff member can join the program to learn about their health, take action to maintain or improve it and even earn incentives along the way. Each year, more than 20,000 members of the university community participate in this popular program. Click here to learn more!
  • Find an exercise or relaxation class on campus: From Zumba to yoga to barre and more, exercise classes for all ages and abilities are available across campus. Most of the offerings last for 15 weeks. Check out when and where the classes will be held and sign up today!
  • Join a wellness center: Michigan Medicine and U-M have wellness centers on campus for faculty and staff to utilize. One is located at the North Campus Research Complex and has available memberships (click for details), and others are located on the main university campus.   • Earn discounts on outside exercise classes or fitness equipment: If you’re looking for exercise opportunities outside of work, many fitness centers in the Ann Arbor area offer discounts to faculty and staff when they show their MCard.
