Workshops offer support to those with long-term health problems

Are you struggling with fatigue or pain?

Are you experiencing symptoms that are affecting your daily life?

Are you feeling overwhelmed with managing a health condition?

Join PATH – Personal Action Toward Health – an engaging, interactive workshop available to faculty, staff and their families at no cost. You’ll learn new skills and tools to manage long-term health problems and live a healthier life.

PATH workshops are for you if you have:

  • Arthritis
  • High blood pressure
  • Ongoing pain or fatigue
  • Cancer
  • Kidney disease
  • Diabetes
  • Back pain
  • Other long-term health problems
  • Or are a caregiver to someone dealing with any of these conditions

A new six-week workshop starts Tuesday, May 15 from 4 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., at the Taubman Health Sciences Library. It continues weekly through June 19, with a bonus session on June 26.

Each workshop is evidence-based and led by certified leaders. To get the most out of this experience, you are encouraged to attend all six weeks, plus the bonus session. Snacks will be provided at all sessions.

Bonus! The PATH workshop qualifies for MHealthy Rewards 2018! Benefits-eligible faculty and staff can go to the StayWell Portal to learn how to successfully complete this program to earn points toward a $100 reward.

Optional information session

If you’d like to learn more about PATH, MHealthy is holding an information session Tuesday, May 8 from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m., at the Taubman Health Sciences Library. This session is optional and not required to join PATH. Snacks will be provided.
