Alert: Phishing attempt targeted at U-M workforce

A screenshot of the phishing email sent around this morning.

Please be advised that this morning around 9 a.m., a phishing email was sent to many members of the U-M workforce, including Michigan Medicine. This phish had the subject line of “Payroll Notification” and had the look and feel of a university message.

Information Assurance mitigated the threat around 9:40 a.m. However, the email may still be in email inbox. Please delete it.

If you believe you interacted with this phish by clicking links or disclosing your credentials, please report it to the HITS Service Desk for assistance and change your level 1 and/or level 2 password. A self-help portal for password resets can be found by clicking here.
