The Community Health Tent is one of the largest vendors at the festival and is the result of a collaboration between more than a dozen health organizations and health providers including Michigan Medicine, the VA of Ann Arbor, Huron Valley Ambulance, Blue Cross Complete, the Washtenaw County Public Health Department and more.

For the past several years, Michigan Medicine’s Community Health Services has organized and led the health tent and coordinated hours of fun, interactive, family-friendly health education, health screenings and health research activities. In 2017, the tent welcomed more than 1,200 visitors.

Volunteers are requested to commit to a minimum two-hour shift during the available days listed above.

To volunteer, contact Lindsay McCarthy at mccarthl@med.umich.edu.
