TGIF! This week at Headlines featured a number of stories highlighting the importance of partnerships across the organization.

Interpreter Services, for instance, shared how they partner with patients to ensure everyone at Michigan Medicine receives the world-class care they deserve; the organization celebrated its new partnership with St. Joseph Mercy in Chelsea; and Human Resources partnered with vendors and organizations to give employees a day to remember during the recent Ice Cream Social employee appreciation event.

For all of that and more, here’s the latest Week in Review!

Laying down roots: U-M Health, St. Joseph Mercy celebrate new partnership in Chelsea

In early July, St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea began operating as a joint venture between U-M Health and St. Joseph Mercy Health. Recently, leaders of both organizations came together to celebrate the new partnership, planting a maple tree on the campus of the 133-room facility in western Washtenaw County. Faculty, staff treat themselves at annual Ice Cream Social

A record 20,000 employees enjoyed a delicious dessert during this year’s Ice Cream Social employee appreciation event. But there was a lot more to the day than simply ice cream. Faculty and staff were given five-minute massages, took part in yoga in the hospital courtyard and even got to taste samples from an MHealthy chef demonstration. Take a look back at the day’s festivities!
